Deerfield Dentist, Michael Rodbro, Dies at 74

He practiced dentistry in Deerfield for 42 years.

Dr. Michael C. Rodbro, 74, of Lincolnshire, passed away October 16, 2014.

He was born and raised in Waukegan, IL on July 25, 1940. Michael lettered in swimming and tennis at Waukegan High School and Miami University, where he was also a member of the Delta Epsilon Fraternity. He was a naval officer at the Concord Naval Weapons Station.

Michael was a deacon at the Community Christian Church, was a member of the Chicago Dental Society, and served on the board of the First Colonial Bank and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Cook County North Suburban.

He practiced dentistry in Deerfield for 42 years.

Beloved husband of Patricia June, nee Fritzlen; loving father of Michael, Robin, Scott (Katherine) and Christine Elizabeth Pendola; cherished grandfather of Danielle, Alice and Charles; dear brother of Susan (Fred) Sears, Edwin (Maria), Christopher (Pam), and Patrick (Marianne) Rodbro, and Wm. (Lee) and the late David Mackie; adored brother-in-law of Barbara Koshkarian; treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, William L. Mackie, mother, Joan George and step-father, Iver Rodbro.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11 am at the Community Christian Church, 1970 Riverwoods Rd, Lincolnshire, IL. Interment private.
