Endorsement Of Alyson Miller Feiger: Letter

Maybe you've noticed the hundreds of lawn signs popping up all around town. There is an election on Tuesday, April 4. I am writing to encourage you to go and vote: hopefully, for my wife Alyson Miller Feiger incumbent candidate for Township Supervisor in West Deerfield Township. Alyson has been the Supervisor for over four years and has really done a fine job for the township. Alyson and her Democratic board have lowered your taxes and expanded services.

Most of us only encounter the township when we need to renew our passports or to contest our property taxes - and we should consider ourselves lucky for that - the other services that they provide are for our less fortunate neighbors. They include free and discounted rides for the elderly and veterans, and a food pantry that feeds over 250 in our community every week. These are our friends who are going through a temporary setback due to job loss or divorce or for health reasons. The Township also provides financial assistance to families with a disabled member, even going so far as to help pay to build a wheelchair ramp. There isn't another government agency that does this. Alyson leads the township with compassion and sensitivity for all who come there for help.

Alyson is not running unopposed in this election and unfortunately her opponent doesn't understand the need for the services provided by the Township. Like the current administration in Washington, he wants to cut services to those most in need and when people got upset about what he was saying he started lying about it. He wants to shut down the food pantry and other vital services to those most in need. Alyson understands that a person can experience ups and downs in life and shouldn't have to leave their friends and community because of a short-term set back.

This looks like it will be a very close election so please join me on Tuesday, April 4 and vote for Alyson Miller Feiger for another term as West Deerfield Township supervisor, and also please vote for the other Democrats running with her.
