Portillo's Given Green Light to Start Construction on Lake Cook Road
The restaurant doesn't yet have a permit for the new Deerfield location, but the board is letting it start construction.
Construction can now begin on a new Deerfield Portillo’s at 700 Lake Cook Road despite the restaurant not having its final permit, according to an article in the Deerfield Review.
The Village Board voted this week to allow construction to start so that the restaurant can open at its intended time in May while it pursues its special use permit in the meantime,, the article says.
