$21K Worth of Medical Devices Stolen from Good Sam: Police Blotter

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 19

Criminal Defacement

Graffiti was reported on two stop signs at the northwest and southeast corners of Franklin and Prospect streets around 8:15 a.m., police said.

Theft on Ogden Avenue

A large metal box was stolen overnight from the south parking lot of a business in the 100 block of Ogden Avenue, police said. The box, which was used for salt in the winter, weighed more than 500 pounds empty, according to the report.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 18

Disorderly Conduct on Winthrop Way

Karolina Kuoksyte, 19, of the 8000 block of Barrymore Drive in Darien, was arrested around 12:24 a.m. in the 7300 block of Winthrop Way, police said. She was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police broke up a party, according to the report.

Car Burglary on Belmont Road

A car was burglarized overnight in the 4500 block of Belmont Road, police said. A wallet containing $300 cash, credit cards, debit cards and a driver's license was reported stolen.

MONDAY, SEPT. 17

Medical Devices Stolen from Good Sam

Several medical implant devices worth nearly $22,000 were stolen from the operating floor at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, 3815 Highland Ave., between June 1 and Sept. 17, police said. A total of nine spine implants valued at $21,600 were reported stolen.

Car Burglaries on Valley View Drive

Three cars were burglarized overnight in the 1100 block of Valley View Drive, police said. The only item reported stolen was a $200 Plainfield Wildcats jacket, according to the report.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 15

Ford Mustang Emblems Stolen

Three 25th anniversary Ford Mustang emblems were stolen overnight from a vehicle in the 6800 block of Carpenter Street, police said. The total value of the emblems was $200.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 8

Property Damage at Salon Q

The window sign at Salon Q, 410 75th St., was damaged between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 9, police said. Four other business signs on the east side of the salon were missing from their original locations.
