Gallery: Ribbit! The Exhibit at Morton Arboretum

The Morton Arboretum in Lisle is hosting Ribbit! The Exhibit through Sept. 25.

North Carolina-based sculptor J.A. Cobb has fashioned 23 copper frogs performing a variety of activities, such as playing instruments, catching butterflies and meditating.

According to the Morton Arboretum:

  • 500 pounds of sheet copper was used to create the sculptures
  • On average, it takes 120 hours to create one piece
  • With a bow and arrow in hand, Diana the Huntress stands the tallest at 7 feet
  • Dressed in a tutu, Sasha the Ballerina is the smallest frog at just over 4 feet
