Halloween Parade, Window Painting, Living Cemetery: October In Downers Grove
Downers Grove will celebrate Halloween with its annual parade and costume contest, window painting downtown and other activities.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The month of October offers an array of eerie activities in downtown Downers Grove, including the annual window painting and the Halloween parade and costume contest.
Through Oct. 24, kids can take part in a pumpkin scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded to participants who find at least 20 pumpkins tucked away in business windows. Click the link for the Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt form.

Downtown Downers Grove's annual storefront window painting will take place Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Paints will be provided, but artists must bring their own brushes, water bottles and other items for painting.

To participate, head to 933A Curtiss St. with a canned good to donate to benefit FISH Pantry and gather paints for decorating. The paints are available until supplies run out. Participants must bring their own paintbrushes.
Participants are encouraged to bring at least one canned food, which will be donated to F.I.S.H. Pantry.
Halloween Costume Contest, Parade
On Oct. 26, kids of all ages are encouraged to head to Fishel Park at 12 p.m. for the village's annual Halloween parade and costume contest.
Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Downers Grove
After the Halloween parade, kids can trick or treat at stores and restaurants in downtown Downers Grove from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
