DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Hooters employees from Illinois and beyond recently met at the chain's Downers Grove location to put together 100 school supply kits that will be donated to local children. The initiative, supported by Back 2 School Illinois, will bring the kits to children via the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS).

The kits included, not only school supplies, but also encouraging notes written and designed by the employees. Festive wrapping paper added even more seasonal charm to the kits.

“It was such an awesome experience working with everyone to get the school kits together. I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity and I hope the kids love their kits,” said Lissette Miranda, an employee at the Hooters in Joliet."
