Meet Lynette, Downers Grove Public Library Bookologist

Bookology... it's the science of good books, making Downers Grove Public Library staff experts in the field, or bookologists.

Bookologist and birthday girl Lynette gets the spotlight in July.

Lynette is the teen coordinator in the Adult and Teen Services Department. She's very well known around town because of her close work with the middle and high school students, staff, and libraries.

Lynette enjoys reading about young adults (of course!), magical realism, art history, artists' lives, and meditation. She enjoys working with students on a daily basis and providing teens with resources to fuel their own creativity.

"I am most drawn to books with a focus on art, yoga, and the magic found in our everyday world," she says.

When not working, Lynette spends her time painting, practicing yoga, and taking long walks with her two adorable dogs Farrah and Bernie.
