Serial Groper Who Preyed On Women In Public Arrested: DuPage County Authorities
The man "allegedly roamed the streets of DuPage County looking for his next victim," the state's attorney said.

A Willowbrook man accused of groping several women in public places across Hinsdale, Downers Grove and Darien faces numerous charges, according to authorities.
Kwame Koranteng, 31, of the 400 block of Ridgemoor Drive, appeared in court Saturday and is charged with criminal sexual abuse, attempted criminal sexual assault, two counts of aggravated battery in a public place and two counts of aggravated battery of a person over 60, authorities said.
“Random sexually motivated attacks, as alleged in this case, don’t just traumatize the immediate victim, they also terrorize an entire community leaving residents fearful for their personal safety,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.

Downers Grove police responded around 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 to an incident in which a woman was walking on Brookband Road when Koranteng exited a parked vehicle, ran up behind her, passed her, turned around, grabbed her buttocks, asked her if “she can have sex,” and fled, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Three days later, Hinsdale officers received a report of a delayed sexual assault, in which a woman was walking with a six-month-old baby on a path on 59th Street and felt someone grab her buttocks with both hands, authorities said. When she turned around, Koranteng touched her vagina over her clothes, according to authorities, who said she started screaming and Koranteng fled.
Darien police on Nov. 14 received a delayed report that at about 10:15 p.m. the night before, Koranteng followed a woman into the lobby of her apartment, grabbed her buttocks and left, authorities said.
Law enforcement identified Koranteng as a suspect, and on Nov. 14, while surveilling him in the 7300 block of Fairmount Avenue in Downers Grove, officers saw him approach a woman with her grandchild, grab her buttocks and try to wrap his arms around her, according to authorities. The woman pushed him and he fled to his vehicle, where he was arrested, authorities said.
His next court appearance is set for Dec. 8, according to authorities.
