Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Tools Stolen In Burglaries In Downers Grove
The items were stolen during a separate home burglary and car burglary, police say.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Thousands of dollars worth of tools were stolen in two separate burglary incidents in Downers Grove.
One incident took place between July 1 and Sept. 1 at a home in the 1200 block of Cross Court. The victim told police that a gray toolbox filled with drill bits, a Hilti nail gun set and a Craftsman toolbox with a ratchet set were missing from his home's detached garage.
The total loss was estimated at $900.

On Sept. 5, power tools were reported stolen from three work trucks in the 3000 block of Highland Parkway. Police say a Corning RST-000 ribbon splitting tool was stolen from each truck. The total loss was estimated at $5,249.97.
