Unload Those Old Jack-'O-Lanterns At 2025 Pumpkin Smash In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Halloween has come and gone, so now it's time to figure out what to do with that quickly deteriorating old jack-o'-lantern. On Nov. 8, residents can rid their homes of unwanted pumpkins at the 2025 Downers Grove Pumpkin Smash.

Residents can go to Downers Grove North High School, 4436 Main St. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Nov. 8 to simply drop off their pumpkins. Candles, lights and other decorations should be removed from the jack-o'-lantern. Painted pumpkins will not be accepted.

SCARCE will use the donated pumpkins as compost
