Elgin Area Chamber to present Elgin Mayor’s State of the City Address

The business community is invited to attend a special breakfast meeting highlighting the “State of the City” address with Elgin Mayor David Kaptain. The event will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 8:00am to 9:30am at Elgin Community College, Building E, 1700 Spartan Drive, in Elgin.

Sponsored by Elgin Community College and Elgin State Bank, the meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a hot breakfast buffet and networking opportunities. The Mayor's presentation will begin at 8:30 am. Following his presentation, Mayor Kaptain will be available for a Q & A session.

Mayor Kaptain will provide a comprehensive look at the progress made and the opportunities ahead for the City of Elgin.
