You Should Know the Latest on the Wintry Weather Predicted for Sunday
How many inches of snow will fall? And where? Winds and sleet will make visibility difficult in some areas.

Precipitation will overspread the region through the day Sunday, bringing a wintry mix to portions of the Chicago area and accumulating snowfall, reports the National Weather Service in Chicago.
Snowfall totals are generally expected to fall in the 1-to-3-inch range northwest of a Streator to Waukegan line, and 2-to-4-inch range to the southeast. Precipitation will begin as primarily snow north of I-80, but a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain is expected to the south. Precipitation will change over to snow south of I-80 early to mid afternoon Sunday.
Northeast winds with gusts in the 30 to 35 mph range are expected to develop through the day Sunday. This may result in areas of blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibility, mainly in open areas north of I-80. South of I-80, wetter than average snow may limit the amount of blowing snow to some degree.
