Almost 300 Rounds of Ammo Found in Car Stopped On Kedzie

Evergreen Park Police pulled over a convicted felon last week and found quite a stockpile inside his car.

When police pulled over a man in the 8700 block of Kedzie last Tuesday morning they had no idea what was inside the '98 Ford.

Tyrese L. Fisher, 31, of Bloomington, Ill. was stopped around 10:35 a.m. on March 19 after Evergreen Park Police ran a random check on his vehicle registration. The check revealed that the temporary registration affixed to the car had been reported stolen, police said.

Police saw two 30-round .40 caliber extended magazines on the front passenger seat, according to the report. Also found were boxes of .22 caliber rifle bullets totalling 228 rounds, police said.
