Savor Summer With Rich Daniels Labor Day Concert And Fireworks

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Wrap up summer with a Labor Day concert and fireworks Monday, Sept. 4, at James J. Sexton Park, 91st Street and Rockwell Avenue in Evergreen Park.

The Evergreen Park Recreation Department will present South Side native Rich Daniels and the City Lights Orchestra from 5 to 7 p.m. Fireworks follow at dusk.

City Lights Orchestra plays classic standards from George Gershwin and Woody Herman, Glen Miller and Benny Goodman, as well as tunes from Hollywood film scores and Broadway shows. In addition to corporate gigs and charity galas, CLO has also backed up singers Ray Charles, Mel Torme, Michael Bolton and Dionne Warwick and comedians Jay Leno and Rich Little.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and maybe some plastic to sit on and enjoy a relaxing Sunday evening of music in the park. Don't forget the mosquito repellent. This is the final concert of the summer and it's always a big one.
