2016 Forest Park RibFest

This year's 11th Annual RibFest will run from 11 am - 11 pm. on Saturday, September 10th in the Forest Park Picnic Grove, known as "The Grove," at 7824 Madison St. Admission is free.

The festival includes a BBQ contest, rib sampling, live music, food and beverage booths, children's activities and more.

Amateur chefs will present a full slab of pork ribs ribs (12 ribs) for the RibFest competition and can sell a 2-rib sample to the public for $3.00. Entries for the competition will be blindly judged based on taste, tenderness and visual presentation. Cash prizes of $1,000, $700, and $300 will be awarded to the top three "ribbers." There is a non-refundable $175 application fee and all entries must be received by Friday, September 2nd.

Entertainment at this year's event includes cover band Sonic 7 who will pay a tribute to women in rock from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
