Forest Park Library Halts Fines for Overdue Books
Bring in canned food to the Forest Park Public Library from Sept. 11-18 to clear fines and support the local food pantry.

From Sept. 11-18, Forest Park Public Library patrons will be able to remove fines from their accounts in the Food for Fines program. FPPL cardholders may bring in up to 20 non-pershiable food items in exchange for any outstanding fines from a library account. The library will not accept expired food, open packages, repackaged foods, homemade or home-canned foods, medications and products not in their original packaging. All food donations will benefit the Forest Park Food Pantry. To view a list of suggested food items, click here.
Each canned or packaged food item donated, $1 will be deducted from the card. Food for Fines includes all FPPL fines (payment for items returned late). This program will not include fees (payment due for lost items) or fines from other libraries.
