Though death and taxes might be considered the only certainties in life, understanding how taxes affect your retirement income is far from sure.

What’s true one year might no longer be the case the next, after revisions to the tax code are implemented. As a result, financial planning to keep the most of your life’s hard-earned dollars is an ever-evolving endeavor.

This dynamic subject is the focus of a special seminar, “Retirement Tax Planning,” led by a retirement expert and hosted by the Berwyn Public Library on Tuesday, March 14th. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Dr. Jim Flanagan of Bentron Financial Group will provide insights that help people navigate the retirement tax maze.

“If you're nearing retirement or already retired, you need to understand how taxes—including the new 2018 changes—impact retirement income,” Flanagan said. “Each person’s tax situation is unique, and the tax rules can change from year to year. That’s why so many people find it challenging to get accurate and timely information.”
