Lake Co. Business Banned From Selling Tobacco For 1 Year

The Lake County Health Department has revoked the tobacco license for Moshi's Tobacco and Vape until Sept. 25, 2025.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Lake County business has been banned from selling tobacco until next year for accusations it sold electronic cigarette products to a person under the age of 21 years old, health officials said Thursday.

The Lake County Health Department has revoked the license for Moshi's Tobacco and Vape, which is located at 34491 N. Old Walnut Circle in Gurnee, to sell tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and alternative nicotine products, according to a news release from the health department.

The revocation comes after a hearing that was held on Sept. 10 where health officials determined an employee at Moshi's Tobacco and Vape sold the electronic products to a person under 21 on May 16 and on several other occasions. Moshi's license had been previously suspended by the health department for 14 days in late April as well.
