Suburban YMCAs To Require Vaccination Proof
The YMCA of Metro Chicago Association announced proof of vaccination would be required starting Feb. 1 at fitness centers outside Cook Co.

LINDENHURST, IL — The Hastings Lake YMCA in Lindenhurst and five other suburban YMCAs will require proof of vaccination starting on Feb. 1.
The announcement comes following a similar mandate passed for Cook County and city of Chicago restaurants, bars, theaters, clubs and fitness centers, which took effect on Monday. Proof of vaccination is now required in all of those locations, including at eight YMCA of Metro Chicago Association's fitness centers in Cook County.

On Monday, the YMCA of Metro Chicago Association announced it would require visitors to show vaccination proof at its six other locations outside of Cook County starting Feb. 1, according to Shaw Media. Those locations include the Sage YMCA in Crystal Lake, Elmhurst YMCA, Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove, Fry Family YMCA in Naperville, Foglia YMCA in Lake Zurich, and Hastings Lake YMCA in Lindenhurst.
