$2.4M Gift To Hinsdale, La Grange Hospital Foundations
The donation is an investment in the health of the community, a hospital executive said.
HINSDALE, IL – The estates of the late Dorothy V. Clarke and Kenton H. Clarke Jr. have donated $2.4 million to the foundations for the Hinsdale and La Grange hospitals.
"Legacy gifts are more than generous donations – they are investments in the health and vitality of our community," Dave Tkachuck, president and CEO of the La Grange hospital, said in a news release. "For more than 70 years, our hospital has been supported by a generous community, and that tradition continues when individuals choose to include our hospitals in their estate plans. The foresight and generosity of donors like the Clarke family will leave an enduring mark on every life we touch."
"Their legacy gift will have a lasting impact, ensuring that our hospitals continue to provide exceptional, compassionate care for generations to come," Elise MacCarroll-Wright, president and CEO of the Hinsdale hospital, said.

Kenton Clarke, the last surviving member of the family and an annual donor up until his death, lived in Hinsdale, according to the hospitals.
The hospitals operate under UChicago Medicine AdventHealth.
