2 Hinsdale D86 Candidates Join Forces

Both serve on area elementary school boards. They are facing six other candidates.

HINSDALE, IL – Two candidates for the Hinsdale High School District 86 board are running as a team called Unite 86 in the April 1 election.

The hopefuls are Liz Mitha of Darien and Mary Satchwell of Hinsdale.

Along with six other candidates, they are vying for the four four-year board seats. The others are incumbent Terri Walker, Warren Ali, Andrew Catton, Bobby Fischer, Jenny Gannon and Baron Leacock.

Incumbent Jeff Waters is the lone candidate for the two-year seat.

In a news release this week, Mitha and Satchwell said they are focused on data-driven decision-making, fiscal responsibility, transparency and collaboration.

Both are elementary school board members – Mitha at Cass District 63 and Satchwell at Maercker District 60.

They have formed a website for their campaigns.
