Bond Set for Man Who Allegedly Robbed, Pulled Gun on Woman in Jewel-Osco Parking Lot

The incident took place in Clarendon Hills.

Bond was set Friday for a man who allegedly stole a woman’s purse outside of a Jewel-Osco in Clarendon Hills Thursday evening, the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office announced.

Enkhbold Naidandavaa, 20, who’s from Bellwood, reportedly approached a woman from behind around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 5 while she was loading groceries into her car in the Jewel-Osco parking lot. Police said he took her purse, pulled a gun on her and pushed her to the ground. He then fled, and police found him 10 minutes later about four blocks from the store.

At the time of the robbery, Naidandavaa was allegedly wearing a ski mask and dark clothing. The gun he threatened his victim with was later determined to be an airsoft pistol.

Judge Richard Russo set bond at $100,000 at 10 percent to apply in court Friday.

“The allegations against Mr. Naidandavaa are extremely disturbing,” State's Attorney Berlin said in a release. “This type of outrageous conduct will not be tolerated in DuPage County and will be met with the full force of the law.”
