The Academy of Music and Art is hosting free audition workshops to help performers get ready for our Winter 2026 musical, Shrek JR. The Musical.
These workshops are for boys and girls ages 9–17 and are designed to make auditioning feel fun, low-pressure, and confidence-building. We’ll cover singing, basic choreography, and audition preparation in a friendly, supportive environment. Academy of Music and Art

6:00 PM – Beginner Audition Workshop
For students with little or no previous theater experience. -
7:00 PM – Returning Performers Audition Workshop
For students who have been in shows before and want to sharpen their skills. Academy of Music and Art
This is a great way to take the mystery out of auditioning and help kids feel comfortable and prepared before they try out for Shrek JR.
