Governor's General Counsel Buys $1.37 Million Hinsdale Home

Jason Barclay, general council to Gov. Bruce Rauner, recently bought a single family Hinsdale home for $1.37 million.

The two-story house has 3,300 square feet, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, according to Cook County. It was built in 1986. It has hardwood floors, three fireplaces and an attached three-car garage.

The home also has separate kitchen and dining rooms and a walk-in pantry. Bath amenities include a separate shower, double sinks and a soaking tub, according to listing information.

There’s also a finished basement, a game room and a recreation room. Interior features include vaulted/cathedral ceilings and a skylight. The lot is professionally landscaped.

Barclay was previously a partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, according to LinkedIn. He also served as special counsel and policy director for then-governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels, and before that he was special assistant to then-mayor of Indianapolis, Steve Goldsmith.
