Hinsdale House Burglarized in The Early Evening: Police
The suspect fled before officers arrived in response to an alarm.

HINSDALE, IL– A house in a Hinsdale neighborhood was burglarized last week, but the suspect fled before officers arrived, police said.
About 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the suspect entered the house by breaking a back glass door, setting off the alarm, police said.
The break-in occurred in the 800 block of South Garfield Ave.

Police said burglary attempts increase in the fall, particularly in the evenings.
"We ask that you leave some lights on in your house, set your alarm, and as always, contact us by calling 9-1-1 if you observe suspicious persons or vehicles," police said in a news release.
