Hinsdale Police Will Destroy Your Drugs, Prescriptions
The Hinsdale Police Department has planned its 12th Annual Drug Take-Back Day.

The Hinsdale Police Department is participating with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on its twelfth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day next month.
The department will collect expired, unused, unwanted prescription drugs and over the counter drugs for destruction between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
"Prescription drug abuse in the United States is increasing at alarming rates, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs," said a department news release. "Many people do not know how to properly dispose of their unused medicine, often flushing them down the toilet or throwing them away — both potential safety and health hazards."
