During kitten season, HHS may care for as many as 50 kittens at one time. As always, there are also adolescent and adult cats waiting for a loving home. Approximately 450 felines are adopted each year from HHS.

"Now is the perfect time to adopt a feline,” said Jennifer Vlazny, HHS Operations Manager. “You're not only giving a homeless animal a wonderful forever home, you're also getting a loving companion in return".

In conjunction with Adopt-A-Cat Month, individuals and families adopting a kitten or cat will receive a special gift bag with feline treats and toys. All feline adopters are eligible to enter a raffle with a drawing at the end of June, including items such as a feline gift basket, kitty condos, and a cat bed.

HHS encourages potential feline adopters to visit the shelter during business hours and meet all of the animals waiting for their forever families.
