Person Battered In Downtown Hinsdale: Cops

In another case, an umbrella and umbrella stand were stolen from the end of a driveway, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest weekly blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Battery

  • A person reported that a suspect committed battery against the person about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 10 block of West Chicago Avenue. The victim knew the suspect. The case is pending.

Theft

  • An umbrella and umbrella stand were stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 1 from the end of a driveway in the 1200 block of Hawthorne Lane. It was reported four days later.

DUI

  • A 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested shortly before midnight Friday in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, speeding, failure to signal when required and improper lane use. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
