Underage Drinking, Domestic Abuse, Thefts: Hinsdale Police Blotter

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter throughout the past week.

Underage drinking

• Matthew Cherry, 19, was caught drinking alcohol after police investigated a suspicious person report at 305 S. Garfield in Hinsdale Jan. 2. Cherry was found around 2 a.m. and was charged and released on site with a court date.

Domestic battery

• Rudy Enriquez, 29 was arrested and charged with domestic battery around 9 p.m. New Year’s Day. According to police reports, Enrique reportedly provoked and/or insulted a victim that night before being transported to DuPage County Jail.

Theft

• A Hinsdale resident reported to police the afternoon of Dec. 28 that someone stole three checks from his briefcase. At the time, he was on E. 1st Street. The unknown person cashed a check using the man’s account information in the amount of $700.
