Woman Tapped To Serve As Clarendon Hills Trustee
She would replace a trustee who served for eight months before resigning.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – A healthcare consultant has been nominated to serve as Clarendon Hills' newest trustee.
Elizabeth "Liz" O'Connell is a managing director and partner at AArete, a consulting company. She is co-leader of the firm's healthcare consulting practice.
Village President Eric Tech has recommended O'Connell's appointment. The Village Board is set to vote on her selection at its meeting Monday. She would be one of six trustees.

In October, the position became vacant when Denise Kavuliak resigned eight months after she was appointed. She replaced Steve Tuttle, who was appointed in mid-2022 and ran in the 2023 election unopposed.
The village provided a biography on O'Connell in its meeting agenda packet.

O'Connell lives in the village with her husband, Andrew O'Connell, and their dog, Judy. In her spare time, she serves on the board of directors for the nonprofit group, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
She holds a master's degree in business administration from DePaul University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Loyola University Chicago.
In 2022, O'Connell was named a Top 50 Leader in Healthcare Consulting by The Consulting Report. In 2025, The Consulting Report selected her as a Top 25 Leader in Healthcare Consulting.
