Elizabeth “Bette” Zieske, 65, was born August 30, 1946 in Chicago, the daughter of Herman “Jerry” and Mary (Dukelow) Schammert. She married Joseph A. Zieske on September 18, 1965 in Prospect Heights.
The couple made their home for many years in Carpentersville and Bette worked at Dundee Crown High School as support staff. They moved to Sun City, Huntley in 2004. She especially enjoyed spending her summers at Dell Boo Camp in Wisconsin and playing online Scrabble.

A memorial gathering will be held at her daughter’s home from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
