Culverβs Honors Vets, Raises Funds for D.C. Trip
The Huntley restaurant is hosting ceremony and fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 11 for Veteran's Day. Organizers are searching for veterans to participate.

Culverβs of Huntley and VetsRoll is joining together for a special commemoration in honor of Veteranβs Day.
Culverβs, located at 13240 Route 47, is donating 11 percent of the entire dayβs sales on Sunday, Nov. 11, to VetsRoll, a Beloit, Wis., based non-profit.

VetsRollβs mission is providing 200 World War II and Korean era veterans and βRosie-the-Rivetersββ with a trip to Washington, D.C. The organization takes veterans, at no charge, to see the memorials built in their honor in the Capitol. The trip is planned for May 19 to 22, 2013.
The restaurant will also feature $1 Red, White and Blue Patriot Sundaes (single scoop) with ALL proceeds donated back to VetsRoll.

True Patriot Care Foundation of Carpentersville will present a display of hundreds of American flags representing the lives of Illinois soldiers whoβve lost their lives in conflicts.Β
A ceremony featuring area veterans, presentation of colors and a flag presentation will be held at 3:30 p.m. DJ Rudy Kay will be on hand playing 1940s era music and Culverβs employees will be dressed in clothing from the same era.
Veterans of all conflicts are invited to participate in a parade to Culverβs. The lineup begins at 2 p.m. at Deicke Park in Huntley. Local police, fire departments and the Warrior Watch Riders will escort veterans to the restaurant for a ceremony.
