Huntley Library Friends Foundation have donated $22,650 to the library this year, said Leigh Ann Porsch, library spokesman. The donation helps fund things that would not otherwise fall within the library’s budget, she said.
The library has been able to purchase extra copies of popular eBooks, pay for all reading and library programs and purchased Kindle for giveaways during National Library Card Month in September, Porsch said. The Friends also sponsor HelpNow and JobNow, wich provide free online tutoring for students and job coaching for adults, she said.
