Huntley Community Radio Trial Run on Loudcity
Audio stream available on Loudcity until Aug. 11 as Huntley Community Radio seeks comments on quality of stream.

Huntley Community Radio is getting closer to launching and is trying a test audio stream on Loudcity this week.
The hour-long continuous loop has music and promos for ) including its call in programs. HCR is scheduled to launch on the web the week of Sept. 24, HCR Executive Director Allen Pollack said in an email sent to supporters and volunteers Monday.

HCR’s audio stream is available on its website by clicking on a "Listen Live" icon. Pollack is asking for feedback on the stream. Comments can be made on the Loudcity site or on HCR's Facebook page.
“If our audio stream is reliable with high quality sound during this period (the 5 day trial), we will purchase the audio streaming services that contribute to the sound you hear,” he wrote.

is one of the founding members of HCR, which began forming last year and has made a lot of progress this year including moving into its own office. The office is located at Deicke Park on Route 47. HCR will begin a webcast next month and hopes to become a low-powered FM radio station once it is able to apply for a Federal Communications Commission license.
