Barack Obama in Chicago This Weekend

Obama may cast his ballot for Hillary Clinton while in town.

U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to arrive back in Chicago this Friday and Saturday, one of his longest visits home since taking office. The White House on Tuesday said the president will be in town for a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton and for Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate Tammy Duckworth, according to DNA Info.

The Duckworth fundraiser will bring Obama to Grand Crossing for an art event at Stony Island Arts Bank, 6760 S. Stony Island Ave.

In a fundraising solicitation on Monday, Obama said he would cast his ballot for Clinton in October when he’s in Chicago, but the White House did not confirm whether he would vote while in town on Friday. Obama's normal early voting site is at the Martin Luther King Community Service Center, located at 4314 S. Cottage Grove Ave.

"With early voting having already begun in states like Iowa and Wisconsin (and getting started in Illinois), all of us who want to elect Hillary Clinton and Democrats down the ballot need to hustle as hard as we can to connect with those undecided voters before their ballots are cast," Obama said in the letter.
