Police Alert Hyde Park Residents After 2 Robberies

The Wednesday night incidents involve multiple suspects

Two robberies occurred in Hyde Park, less than a quarter-mile from each other on Wednesday night, according to a statement on the Chicago Police website.

Police report that two to three black males between the ages of 16 and 30 exited a vehicle, surrounded a victim, and took property before fleeing from the area. Victims described the vehicle used as a white van or gray SUV. The crimes occurred on the 5300 block of S. Ingleside Ave. and on the 5400 block of S. Drexel Ave. just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
