Catalytic Converters Swiped from Hospital Parking Lot, Burglary on Gage

Shopping carts were also stolen from a business on Western.

Shopping cart theft

Two men stole several shopping carts fro a business in the 800 block of North Western Avenue at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 by putting them in the back of a blue, older model pickup truck with wood cargo rails in the bed. Driving with a suspended license

An officer stopped Cynthia Hernandez, 32, of the 1200 block of Meadowbrook Drive in Round Lake, for improper passing at Route 41 and Gage Lane at 3 a.m. Aug. 23 and took her into custody when it was discovered that she was driving on a suspended license. She was released on $1,500 bond with a Sept. 16 court date.

Jeep window smashed

Someone smashed out the driver’s side window of a green Jeep Cherokee while it was parked in a driveway in the 100 block of North Sheridan Road between noon Aug. 21 and 4 p.m. Aug. 22. Anyone with information should contact Det. Brett Marquette at MarquetB@cityoflakeforest.com.

Residential burglary

Police responded to a burglar alarm going off in the 800 block of Gage Lane at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 19. The home had been burglarized between noon and 12:20 p.m. by someone who broke the rear sliding glass door. There is no description of stolen items. Anyone with information should contact Det. Catalytic converter thefts

Someone stole catalytic converters from three cars parked at Lake Forest Hospital during the afternoon of Aug. 12. A tan, four-door sedan was seen parked next to the cars at the time while the driver walked around them. Anyone with information should contact Det. Wendy Dumont at DumontW@cityoflakeforest.com.
