Construction Coming To An End In Heart Of Lake Forest

After months of work, the beginning of the end of construction in Lake Forest's central business district is underway.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Months of construction in Lake Forest's central business district are coming to an end very soon, with crews beginning paving along Deerpath Road and nearby streets.

Paving started Monday and is expected to continue through the end of the month. Once paving is finished, crews will focus on finishing touches like signage, striping and landscaping.

"After months of steady progress, crews are now paving - a major milestone that signals we’re nearing completion," city officials said in a statement."The transformation along Deerpath and surrounding streets is taking shape, and the finished result will soon deliver a smoother, safer, and more beautiful corridor through the heart of Lake Forest."
