Intoxicated Passenger Passes Out in Cab

Also, a car got stuck on a landscaping rock after its driver drove off the road while changing the radio station.

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Passenger passed out

Police were called to Lancaster Court at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 31 by a cab driver who had an intoxicated passenger passed out in back of the cab. The driver said the person was breathing but the driver could not wake him. Officers were able to wake him and stayed while he paid the cab fare.

Barking dog

An officer responded to Sunrise Beach at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 for a complaint of a dog barking at the dog beach. The officer saw a couple with two dogs, one of which was barking while jumping in and out of the lake. There were no violations and the person who made the complaint did not wish to be seen or spoken to.

Vehicle on school field

Police responded to Lake Bluff Middle School at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 4 for a report of a vehicle in the middle of a field. The vehicle’s owner said they were trying to get a satellite signal because that was the only area without trees blocking the satellite. The officer told the owner to move the vehicle off the field.

Downed tree blocks bike path

A large, downed tree a quarter miles north of Shoreacres Road fell across a bike path Sept. 6 making it impassable. Police let Public Works know.

Car stuck on rock

An officer responded to the 600 block of Maple Ave. at 9 p.m. Sept. 6 for a vehicle that had driven over a landscaping rock and was stuck on it. The driver said he was changing the channel on the radio and drove off the road and onto the rock. The homeowner said there was no damage and both parties said they did not want to file a report. A tow truck was called.
