Born in The Maudlins, New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland, immigrated to the United States in 1949. Brigid was a well-known Irish Step Dancer who won many awards. Beloved wife of 57 years to Herbert A. Richards; cherished mother of James, Michael and Noreen (Jon Grand) Richards; loved sister of Nan and James Dalton and the late Michael, Peg, Molly, Lizzy, Nora, and Willy; fond aunt to numerous nieces and nephews across the world. Funeral mass at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12 at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave., Lake Forest.
