Lake Bluff Police Offer Springtime Safety Reminder: Secure Your Valuables
Don't let the excitement of spring throw you off your safety game, police say.

LAKE BLUFF, IL - Local police are reminding residents that while springtime often brings sunshine, warm temperatures and outdoor fun, it can also spur an uptick in criminal activity.
Authorities recently posted a community alert urging community members to be mindful of securing their valuables including vehicles, bicycles and homes.
Residents should double check before leaving their cars unattended that windows are rolled up, doors are locked and personal items are out of sight, it said.

"When riding bikes, be sure to lock them in bike racks and keep them in a closed and locked garage overnight," the alert continued. "Lastly, if you see anyone suspicious, call the police! Together, we can help keep Lake Bluff the safe community we all enjoy!"
