Lake Forest has settled for $339,000 a court case alleging that a supervisor discriminated against an employee in the Streets and Sanitation Department based on race, according to the Lake County News-Sun. The city will pay a $25,000 deductible and its insurer will cover the rest.

A 25-year employee in the department alleged that his supervisor used derogatory language to harass him and other minority employees. The employee and supervisor have both resigned, as well, which was not a stipulated part of the settlement, the article says.
