Tree Falls on Person, Bee Stings Another in the Eye
In another incident, Lake Bluff police were called to turn off an air conditioning unit that refused to quit.

Dead deer on sidewalk
An officer responded to the 300 block of West Washington Avenue at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 25 for a dead deer on the sidewalk. Public Works was notified and planned to remove the deer that night.

Person struck by falling tree
Officers responded to the 500 block of Lakeland Drive at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 26 for a male who had been struck in the back by a falling tree. He was alert and conscious when officers arrived and was taken to the hospital.

Man taking pictures of school bus
An officer assisted the Lake County Sheriff with locating a man who was possibly taking pictures of kids on a school bus on Skokie Highway at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 28. When questions, the driver said he saw the bus stopped without the stop arm out or yellow extended bumper and took the pictures just in case he was later stopped for passing a stopped school bus.
Bee sting in the eye at the farmer’s market
Officers responded to the Lake Bluff Farmers Market at 9 a.m. Aug. 29 for a report of a person who was stung by a bee in the eye. The person was taken to the hospital.
Air conditioner troubles
An officer responded to the 0-100 block of Warrington Drive at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 30 for a resident who was unable to turn off the air conditioning unit. The officer was able to shut it off and the homeowner will try to reach a service provider.
