Woman, 59, In Serious Condition After Stabbing Monday Morning
Police said responding officers found the woman with multiple stab wounds inside a residence on the 2900 block of Gabriel Avenue.
ZION, IL — A 59-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition after she was stabbed inside a home Monday morning, police said.
The woman was attacked inside a residence on the 2900 block of Gabriel Avenue at around 1:40 a.m. Monday, police said in a news release. Responding officers said they found the woman with "multiple" stab wounds.
She was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she was listed in critical condition before doctors performed emergency surgery, a spokesperson for the Lake County Sheriff's Office said.

Police are now asking anyone with information about the attack to contact police at 847-872-8000.
While two people have been detained for questioning, Zion police and the Lake County Major Crime Task Force are looking for additional information.
