Ald. Tunney Brings Ward Calendar to 21st Century

Residents in the 44th ward now have easier access to street cleaning schedules, CAPS beat meetings and more via the alderman's new electronic calendar. It can even be synced to phones and tablets.

Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) announced Friday that the calendar for the 44th ward, which covers a vast majority of Lake View, is now available to be synced easily with residents' calendars online.

"In a continuing effort to keep residents of the 44th Ward well informed of events, street cleaning, night games, concerts, etc., we have launched the 44th Ward Public Calendar," reads Ald. Tunney's website. "Residents can view the calendar online or sync it right to their mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop. The calendar is preset with an alert for the day before an event. You will receive a follow up alert 2 hours prior to an event."

However, residents not interested in getting that many alerts can change their individual settings in their own calendar. Also, don't forget to upload your own events to Patch's enormous community calendar by clicking here
