1. Local business owners are asking the Cook County State's Attorney for help curbing crime. Leaders of the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce are among those asking “why repeat offenders appear to be getting back on the streets so easily.” (CBS2)

2. A man was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning in the 400 block of West Oakdale. Offenders stole his backpack, laptop and phone. It is one of many recent armed robberies in the neighborhood. (CWB)

3. The city's annual Thanksgiving Day Parade returns today, beginning at 8:45 a.m. on State Street downtown. More than 80 floats, balloons and bands are on the route this year. (City)
