City Plan Commission to Vote on Sheffield Ave. Changes Thursday
The changes are a proposed amendment to the Wrigley Field planned development.

The City Plan Commission will vote on changes to Sheffield Ave. this Thurs., Nov 21. The changes would authorize the vacation of Sheffield Ave. right-of-way and will reduce the width of Sheffield Ave. from 33 ft. to 23 ft. The changes are a proposed amendment to the Wrigley Field Planned Development that has been in the works for months.
A press release from the East Lake View Neighbors states that the narrowing of Sheffield will affect 84 residential units and will result in the loss of 50 residential parking spaces.
"East Lake View Neighbors is concerned as to the resulting impacts to charter bus loading and to fire trucks and other emergency vehicle[s] which now use Sheffield," the press release states.
The press release notes that the Cubs have not yet presented the details of the proposed changes to Sheffield.
