1. Two men were killed Thursday in a Ravenswood shooting near the intersection of Wilson and Ashland avenues. The driver of a white pickup truck opened fire into their vehicle. No arrests have been made and Ald. Matt Martin said the shooting is believed to be gang-related. (Block Club)

2. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed this week that Iñaki Bascaran died of drowning last November. The 23-year-old Lakeview man was found in the Chicago River shortly after he was reported missing. According to NBC, it is unclear whether the drowning was accidental. (NBC)

3. More COVID-19 testing companies are under investigation in Illinois. Authorities are looking into customer complaints at O'Hare Clinical Lab and Northshore Clinical Laboratories. (NBC)

4. A Rogers Park representative is leading the effort to install life rings at all Lake Michigan access points. The Chicago Park District and Rogers Park neighbors are supporting a house bill which would require life preservers at all beaches and piers. (Block Club)
