Feigenholtz Invites Senior Citizens to Advisory Committee Meeting

Let your local politician know issues, comments or requests regarding the senior citizen community in Lake View.

State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) asks local residents to attend a meeting of her Senior Citizens Advisory Committee on Jan. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the 19th District Police Station located at 850 West Addison.

Feigenholtz meets with members of the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee several times each year to gather feedback on legislative issues, generate ideas for new state legislation, and better understand the issues affecting the area’s aging community.

“Senior citizens in our community must have a voice in Springfield,” said Feigenholtz. “These meetings give me the opportunity to truly understand the challenges seniors are facing and the priorities that are most important to them at the state level, whether it is help in making prescription drugs more affordable or ensuring that their senior property tax exemption applications are simple and easy to understand.”
